The Snowy Mountains in spring are a fantastic place to be, with refreshing temperatures, the smell of eucalypt and clear blue skies.  The Snowies are a motorcyclists paradise, enough bakeries to fuel the engine and a spectacular view over every coffee.

This Easter we are heading to the Snowies to get some of the goodness for ourselves, from the 4th to the 6th we are basing ourselves in Jindabyne to sample the best the mountains can offer. Over three days we will climb mountains, ride roads seemingly made for bikes, absorb the atmosphere and of course drink coffee in front of spectacular scenery.

Starting with brunch in Threadbo we’ll catch up over coffee before looping back past Perisher and on the Charlottes Pass to start our walk to the top of the world (ok, top of Australia).  With lunch on the top of Kosciuszko we’ll have views across the top of Australia and beyond.  After a well earned cuppa it’s back down the hill to ride home for dinner in one of the many restaurants in Jindabyne.

Sunday dawns with the promise of great riding, we’re of to Cooma for a coffee.  The long way.  300km of nothing but curves, it’s a paradise for any motorcyclist.  Being Easter Sunday we’ll take a moment to reflect on the significance of the day as we pass some of the glorious examples of God’s wilderness.  We have the opportunity to take the short way home if we feel the need, or of course the long way is always an option.

Monday, our last day in the mountains provides options aplenty, with local wineries, trout hatcheries and other historical and tourist opportunities.  Of course there is also the opportunity of the ride to Tumut.  Tumut is an old hydro town nestled in the western slopes of the Snowies, and you guessed it - the road there has a curve or two.  whichever way we go, there is plenty to see in the magnificent Snowy Mountains.

Come and join us for what may just be the ride of the year, scenery a-plenty, fantastic riding and of course the companionship over a cup of your favourite beverage.  See you there.
