Our Mark DRAKE's mum lost her battle with cancer last weekend...
To all of my family and friends, here in Australia & Worldwide, Mum (Anne Marie or Annie) unfortunately passed at 71 years. Although she was diagnosed with cancer at 17, and in remission for a number of decades, the cancer returned for another battle and fight. Mum was a hardworking individual, a wonderful caring person, working as a registered nurse in many hospitals and day surgeries in and around Adelaide, and continued to work in retirement and helping me in my work. She was a greater mother to me and my sister Michelle. She was also lovely grandmother to my two loving and awesome children Michael and Emma. I will remember all the values she taught me including perseverance and determination, as well as her loving and heartfelt attitude, and her cheeky little smile. I love you Mum and I always will.
